Meet the Dentists
Dr. Chris Burseth was born and raised in the Chicago Suburbs. He attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota recieving a B.A. degree in Biology. Dr. Burseth continued his education receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry. He maintains his commitment to continuing education programs to best serve his patients and acts as a mentor for dental students interested in extending the reach of dentistry to those lacking access to care.
Dr. Chris Burseth is the founder of the nonprofit public charity Mission Save a Smile which provides dental care to impoverished communities in Central America. In his free time Dr. Burseth enjoys skiing, hiking, fishing, scuba diving, photography, woodworking, antique auto restoration, and spending time with his wife and two sons.
Born and raised in Crystal Lake, Illinois, Dr. Brian Burseth feels a strong connection to the Crystal Lake and McHenry county communities. After receiving his BA in biology and biomedical studies from St Olaf College, Dr. Brian attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Upon completion of his DDS degree, Dr. Brian joined his father at Burseth Family Dentistry where he now happily provides dental care to his hometown community. Dr. Brian stays up to date with the newest dental technology through continuing education courses, and is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentists, Illinois State Dental Society, and McHenry Country District Dental Society. In 2015 Dr. Brian was awarded the Osseointegration award for excellence in implant dentistry.
For the past eight years, Brian has traveled with Mission Save a Smile, assisting in the provision of dental care to the Embera and Kuna communities in Panama. While in dental school, Dr. Brian established the International Outreach Program Committee at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, and continues to be an advocate in facilitating international outreach programs for the University of Minnesota and its students. In his free time, Dr. Brian enjoys running, skiing, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
